SuitePad Launches the SuitePad Phone Dock, the In-Room Device That Replaces the Desk Phone
SuitePad, the in-room technology provider used by more than 800 hotels in 32 countries, today launched the SuitePad Phone Dock: the SuitePad device and a phone handset in one unit on the nightstand. It replaces the hotel desk phone.
The Phone Dock gives the room a real phone without the old phone system around it. The handset has its own keypad and connects to the hotel's existing line or a new cloud hosted system, with the SuitePad device docked and charging beside it. It comes in two versions, analog and IP, so it fits whichever system a property already runs.
"The room phone stopped making hotels money years ago. Now it mostly keeps the front desk busy. When guests can sort things out on the tablet or by voice AI, they stop calling. The Phone Dock covers the rest: a real handset with emergency calling, on infrastructure the hotel already owns," said Moritz von Petersdorff-Campen, CEO and co-founder of SuitePad.
The Phone Dock is modular. The first production batch will be compatible to the newest generation device, with swappable cradles for every SuitePad device size arriving with the larger volumes in 2027. VoIP/SIP is supported. Emergency calling is included, and the unit is compliant with Kari's Law and RAY BAUM's Act for US properties.
