SuitePad began like many great ideas: over after-work beers and a string of questionable startup concepts. What stuck was way ahead of its time. Hotel guests were booking rooms and leaving reviews online yet inside the room, nothing had changed.
There was still a paper directory, a plastic remote, a clunky phone, and not much else.
Our co-founders, Moritz and Tilmann, saw a gap between how guests interacted with hotels and how hotels wanted to serve them. While so much of hospitality had moved forward, the in-room experience was still stuck in the past: phones no one answered, paper directories no one read, service requests that slipped through the cracks.
They believed there had to be a better way. One that respected the guest, supported the staff, and helped hotels run more smoothly. With this idea, Moritz and Tilmann (and some day ones like our Head of Engineering, Paul) moved into the first SuitePad office on the 4th floor (without an elevator!) directly below a Berlin club, which we think cannot be any more Berlin...
Since 2012, we have equipped more than 1,000 hotels and over 70,000 hotel rooms worldwide with in-room AI, creating new communication channels while making daily work easier for hotel staff by handling routine tasks, cutting down on in-person requests, and helping teams respond faster to guest needs.
SuitePad reaches more than 6 million guests every year - with an 83% AI chat resolution rate and 20-30x more guest engagement than QR codes. That's not a nice-to-have. That's infrastructure.

Our Headquarters
SuitePad is an international company with its heart in Berlin, where our headquarters unite the teams from product development to customer experience. We also have a US office in Florida, supporting growth across North America. From both locations, we create solutions that help hotels connect with their guests in a smarter way, while averaging five costume parties a year.
Fun fact: the 2015 German indie film Victoria was filmed in the streets around our office.
